         First impressions make or break it with the judge. Hmmm... I think that leashes do not fall into that category, they just make  the human part of the team feel better. :))) Three years ago I purchased my first braided show leash at a National Alaskan Malamute Specialty in the US. I had never seen anything like it before. Like Malamutes, the leashes are like potato chips, you just cannot have one.  I did order several more from the same person, because fancy show leads were hard to come by here in Canada and I needed more then just a black leash. :))) About 2 years ago I got the idea to make leashes for myself, and others, but because time was limited I put the project on the back burner. Braiding leashes is just a hobby, and I do it in my spare time, what little I have.  It is addictive. I want to be able to offer a good quality end product and every client needs to be satisfied. Mass production is not on my list of priorities, but that each leash is unique, is. In the past, I had a studio store for 11 years, where I taught folk art painting, took custom orders and also sold finished products. Crafting with my hands has always been a part of my life. Maybe some one of a kind painted pieces, will also be offered here in the future.

        My leashes are affordable and braided with 1/8", 3mm leather lace from Australia, and it comes in a variety of colors.  I do not stock all of the colors, but will if requested. Leather colors maybe viewed here. Kangaroo leather is very strong and becomes buttery soft with use. It will stretch if it is not braided around a core, so I use a 200lb test core. You can order your leashes in plain or two colors with either a checked or stripped pattern. I will also accent your leash in the form of beads. I'm always looking for unique ones, some of them are handmade and one of a kind, or sometimes I find them in lots of only 2- 10. When they are gone there will be none the same again. I will keep my bead sample page updated. You can find bead samples here but if you wish you can send me your own beads or you can design your own beading cluster from what you see. All I ask that if you send your own beads that they have a 3mm+ hole. Prices of the bead clusters will vary with the kind of beads you choose.

  Most people choose leashes with two bead clusters, but please by all means put your imagination to work. For those that have no imagination :))), I have solved the problem and always have a few finished leashes for sale here. I hope you find what your looking for or let me create it for you.
